I've received some interesting comments about the Hack-a-Bat including "Wow thats a really great idea, but there is no way I could ever build anything like that", or "I would need three degrees in engineering to figure that one out!", or my favorite, "man if I could build that, I would be a millionaire!"
Well I want to help you "get a grip" on the hack-a-bat by breaking the project down into its core components. I will attempt to help those of you out there itching to hack-your-bat. This series of articles will give you a basic understanding of how the circuitry and software works, as well as the geometry, calculus and physics involved with the project.
Ryan Howard talks to Guru Lloyd about the secret to a better swing, and how he started hitting tape-measure home runs...at age 12....
Yesterday the My Home 2.0 Crew and I presented a sneak-peek of a cool, baseball-themed, do-it-yourself project to Philadelphia Phillies MVP slugger Ryan Howard. He also hooked me and some Little Leaguers up with some batting pointers!
A new ad for FiOS TV premiered today, starring Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics.
Besides the fact that it encapsulates the coolness of FiOS TV's Multi-Room DVR into just a few seconds, I also love...
...or would that be "phield"? Regardless of spelling, the Philly Phanatic sure seemed impressed with our very own Techno-Guru's Major League field debut, which included not only a great toss across the plate, but some acrobatics as well...

I was asked if I wanted to throw the Ceremonial first pitch at the Phillies Cubs Game Sunday. Without hesitation, I replied with an ecstatic YES!
Check out the pictures and videos from the Guru's practice session...
At Salesianum School. This is my first time using the Flip Video far away....
Hello World! Guru Lloyd here... So I've been asked by several friends if I knew where they could get a Wii. My first thoughts were, "you are 25 years old! why on Earth would you want a Wii so badly."
So I did the Times Square thing and it was fun, but not recommended for those with restless leg syndrome or small bladders (or bad eye sight - could you even spot the ball in the photo I took?)...
If you live in the Philadelphia area, love golf and are in desperate need of a technology makeover, then have I got the weekend event for you...
