Hey everyone!!!  

I'm having a great time being 18, and in love with music!! I've been doing shows every week, and getting great feedback everywhere I go!! I am currently finishing up the album(SHADEZ OF HIP HOP), and looking to be noticed soon but if not the great following of fans that I have now acquired (partly due to My Home 2.0) will def. draw attention from other labels.

The biggest thing I have going on is doing shows OVERSEAS!!! Yep...My manager and I are currently in talks with executives, and promoters in Kenya, U.K., Germany, Tokyo etc...So mos. def. look for new music, videos, etc... coming from me LEW STATIC & Static Groundz Ent.

The JBJBs have recorded a rockin' version of our song "Verizon on the Horizon" at JBJB Studio One. Jules and I wrote the song shortly after we found out that we were one of the families in the running for the My Home 2.0 makeover and FiOS upgrade.   At the time, Verizon, FiOS and the makeover possibility were figuratively shining on the horizon of our family's technology challenges and the song was just a natural result of that excitement.

After rehearsing it with Julia, I knew that with a little luck down the road it might have some commercial possibilities with our friends at Verizon.  The song was catchy and simple enough . . . and the chorus "Verizon on the Horizon"  captured the rollout that FiOS is now doing community by community with their superior product. 

Jules and I recently recorded and mixed the song in just a few days at the new studio — leaving it with a raw, high energy, rock feel.  We premiered the song at the Wurtz block party and everyone seems to really like the result: rockin' crazy guitars, banging percussion, a catchy tune and a nice JBJB vocal duet between Julia and her dad. 

We hope you like it too!   C'mon Verizon . . . can't you just hear this in a commercial?!

Hello Everyone, This has been a difficult post to compose because we could not really fathom how to express our level of gratitude to everyone who was involved on this project.

It is so rare in life to meet such a large group of people all working toward the same goal who are all so uniformly professional, hard working and nice. (of course it goes without saying that it is also rare in life to have people throwing free stuff at you too!!)  

Many people have commented to us how lucky we are to have been chosen to receive the Verizon My Home 2.0 Makeover and all that it entails and certainly we are BUT we think we are even more lucky for being given the oppurtunity to have met all of the people involved. It has been an overwhelming experience, to say the least, one the Wurtz family won't soon recover from but from beginning to end I can honestly say that meeting all of you made it an awesome experience.  

It is our sincere hope that our paths will cross again in the future (especially with whoever thought it was a good idea to have a fire engine siren in our basement! (kidding, of course)) and we hope that should any of the crew ever be in our neighborhood again PLEASE come and see us. ( Unless you are dropping off a bill and telling us that it was all a big hoax and now  we gotta pay up. In that case, knock on my neighbor, Melissa's door!) 

It was truly a pleasure meeting all of you, thank you! thank you! thank you!

The makeover is finally over.  Everyone did a great job and the kids are enjoying the house. Shane - still working!  

Thanks so much for the time you all spent with us. This is an experience we'll never forget.  We couldn't be happier. Oh, you thought I was gonna' spill the beans?  Nope, you gotta wait until the 2.0 folks post it all for ya!

I am currently (I should say we) learning how to use all the different techno gizmos.  I have my first sewing machine class today and am very excited. I can’t wait to start learning about this computerized sewing machine.

Some one asked me if I would do this again, and I said in a heart beat!!! It was the best experience  and everyone from the Gurus to the crew treated us like their family.  I  will miss them dearly.  

To the Words ---can’t wait to see your reveal this Saturday at the block party.  Enjoy your week although it will be quite hectic. That’s all for now.

I received a call from some guy in the UK because of the youtube show. He wants to get engaged to his girlfriend who lives in Doylestown and wants me to design and make the ring. How cool is that?! He hunted down the fabulous web site the Gurus had made for me, and then searched for my phone number.

Now I must go and make Julia a quick snack before I take her to gymnastics!

Julian had my tins set up as drums and was playing them. I caught him at the last of his songs. He doesn't do retakes!

I agree with Jim that these tools need to be used, and I am really trying. We have not yet opened the video equipment, although Sam asks me daily if we can...and  Liz wanted to film me trying to use that touch screen remote for the upstairs TV and Jay wanted to film us all screaming over who touched some piece of equipment last..."you should hear yourselves screaming," he had to  scream the loudest to get us to hear him...Ah, family life......

by the way, Jim, I had no idea you were filming my little lecture to the children and the Verizon gang......

I have to go...I will get the children to Blog...if they can break away from Webkins..

What a great time we had as a family during our week of filming and the block party. Can't believe it was almost a week ago . . .

Everyone involved in our tech makeover made us feel comfortable and well, like stars. Thanks again to everyone involved - including the friends, family and neighbors who came out to cheer us on and share in the fun. It was almost too much attention as we usually fly below the radar but we are so glad to be having this experience. The stars were aligned for us and we're lovin' the ride.
